Bio’s for Tom & Kalynn Dolby

Tom Dolby was born and raised in South St. Paul, Minnesota. He attended St. Thomas University in St. Paul, MN. In 1987, he became a golf pro and achieved his class “A” status in 1990. Tom has worked at various facilities as an Assistant Golf Professional including the Wigwam Resort in Phoenix, AZ and Minikahda Country Club in Minneapolis, MN. He continued his golf career and became the Head Golf Professional at South View Country Club, a private club in St. Paul, MN from 1991-1997. In 1998, Tom purchased Island Pine Golf Club, in Atwater, MN. He was owner of the club for six years. For the past six years, Tom has been the General Manager/Head Golf Professional at Timber Ridge Golf Club in Minocqua, WI. It was at Timber Ridge where Tom met his wife Kalynn and they were married October 3, 2009. Tom has played in three national PGA championships as well as eight national club pro championships. He has also won two Minnesota majors and 40 pro-ams and individual tournaments. Tom’s hobbies include golf, pheasant and deer hunting, spending time with family and friends and their two dogs.

Kalynn Dolby has grown up in the Minocqua area. She graduated from UW-Green Bay with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration. For the past 10 years she has worked at Timber Ridge Golf Club in Minocqua, WI. As an Assistant Golf Professional there, Kalynn’s daily duties included directing the Junior Golf Program, teaching individual and group lessons as well as weekly clinics, merchandising, overseeing four different leagues, training and managing outside staff as well as daily pro shop duties. It was at Timber Ridge where she met her husband, Tom who is a Class “A” PGA Professional. They were married Oct. 3, 2009. Kalynn is currently enrolled in the PGA Professional Golf Management program in Port St. Lucie, FL. Through this program she will obtain her Class “A” PGA status in less than a year. During the off-season, she substitute teaches at local grade schools. Kalynn enjoys running in her free time, spending time with their two dogs, pheasant hunting and spending time with family and friends.
